Professional development programme
Are you a recent graduate in contemporary dance, or an early-career professional dance artist ready to commit to a year of company-based artistic development
NEFCDpro is a full-time professional development programme based in northern Sweden. It is designed for dancers who want to deepen their practice within a professional company environment
During the year you will
— Connect with an international professional dance company in Sweden
— Learn and perform repertoire by internationally acclaimed choreographers
— Create and premierenew works across a range of choreographic processes
— Engage in artistic research and develop your own independent practice
— Explore site-specific and screendance formats
— Expand your technical range further across ballet, contemporary and improvisational practices
— Build your artistic portfolio through performance, creation, and documentation
— Develop lasting professional networks within the international dance field

A basic fee of SEK 500 is a partial payment on other costs during the course. Non-refundable. There are additional course-specific costs for study visits/travel costs and your membership at the local wrestling club. These costs won’t exceed 1,000sek.
More information is provided in the welcome letter.
Both the education and the audition are free of cost. You have the option of renting a room in the school’s dormitory at a cost of SEK 5,000 per four weeks (lunch included on school days, Monday to Friday).
